Justice Conservation Fund: Empowering Communities to Protect Forests and Build Sustainable Futures

The Justice Conservation Fund (JCF) is a transformative initiative by Dogwood Alliance and New Alpha Community Development Corporation. It provides financial support to under-resourced Black and Indigenous communities across the Southern Coastal Blackbelt of the United States, enabling them to purchase and retain ownership of forest land. The fund aims to protect natural resources from industrial exploitation, foster sustainable economic development, and address historical inequities in land ownership through community-led conservation efforts.
