Documentary Lab Fellowship for Filmmakers of Color

The Documentary Lab is a 12-month fellowship designed to support emerging filmmakers of color who are working on their first or second feature documentary. This program provides professional development, customized mentorship from industry experts, and a project grant of $25,000. It focuses on helping storytellers refine and complete their projects while building essential professional skills for the documentary film industry. For the 2026 cycle, only projects currently in post-production will be accepted.
